Here's a suspect - Xorg crashes during shutdown when gnome autologin is enabled:

But so far I've seen it only with autologin enabled. Do you have autologin enabled?

Also, if you wait at least 90 seconds when the monitor goes into standby, the computer should shut down eventually (if it is the same issue).
