Unable to burn an image to a not empty DVD with K3B

Ed,

New test results: If I blank the DVD separately by "wodim -v 
dev=/dev/sr0 blank=fast", then the DVD can be burned without flaw.

Maybe, the blanking procedure in K3B is buggy -:(
