I'm sorry to take you out of your way, I did not notice you are already
member. This is your original question.

You are already the member of l10n commit group, and this allows you to
work on both software and documentation translation. Same translation
team works on both Software and documentation translation.
Thanks to Transifex update, now PO files for books are available in Tx
just like software. They are and will be appeared at [1] for Fedora 13.
It would be nice to discuss with your team how you and other team
members will share the load before starting.
Btw, 'Docs Project contributor group' is not required for translation.
This is the requirement for the author and the maintainer of documentation.
