Windows Media 9 & gxine or mplayer

 Has anyone had any luck playing winplayer 9
web content on gxine or mplayer? I have downloaded
all the win32 codec rpms and some of the earlier
wmv web feeds and files will play nicely,
but windows media player 9 files always complain
and fail.
