Configuring Ethernet Adapter

I am trying to configure a D-Link PCMCIA Ethernet card
in a Dell Laptop.  Fedora recognizes the card and lets me
add it to network configuration.  When I try to activate the
card I get the following messages in order

redhat-confi-network
error saving configuration
errno 2 no such file or directory
//etc/sysconfig/network-scripts//ifcfg-lo.rpmsave

Any ideas
