    Well, if you say so. But intuitively I see no difference and believe
    that I should be able to reinstall the original operating system
    even more simply now.

    Remember I used the tftp method because after attempting to install
    dd-wrt the router was dead, not responding to 192.168.1.1 via the
    browser! There was nothing but a blinking green LED power on
    indicator. As it stands now it does respond and I should be able to
    use the GUI menu to select "Router Upgrade" and install the original
    [WNDR3300-V1.0.45_1.0.45NA.chk] file from there. I fail to see the
    difference between that and installing "dd-wrt.v24_std-wndr3300.chk" ?

    NVRAM's have a limited number of writes but I don't think I will
    ever approach that limit.
