Resizing virtual display on virtual machine

Hi,

I was also looking for an answer to this question yesterday and got a hint:

1) set the video model to vga
2) within the VM: 'yum install system-config-display'
-> use it to set a new display with beter resolution

I did that and got a higher resolution but unfortunately with a poor 
performance.
