I did the following but still no joy:
changed my /etc/grub.conf file to have the rdblacklist=nouveau :

I have SE-Linux disabled

not sure what this means, are you referring to the kmod-nvidia packages? If so
I do have 'em installed - see my listing above.
Am I missing something else? I still boot to a blank screen.
