Is KDE dead ? Was Re: Stable Release Updates

A release or two back, that was the case.  But since then, there's been
movement against it as the protests stacked up by those who don't want
to have anything with a Microsoft taint to it).

I couldn't really see Mono gaining much ground.  Since it's always been
the way of Microsoft to deliberately get in the way of something that's
compatible with one of their products.
