[OT] e-mail problems

Long shot: it might be an MTU issue. I set the MTU to 1448 on internal 
LAN machines. This seems to keep everything happy, including email, VOIP 
services, and VPNs.

I do recall having erratic email issues that were MTU related, years ago.
