Sound input on Fedora 15

If I understand you correctly the Line Input doesn't make it through the 
sound path.

pactl load-module module-loopback
SoundSettings->Input->Connector = Line-In

Now clicking on the speaker icon will show two volume sliders: Volume 
and Microphone.
