Hi,
I've lately been getting some strange nfs mount requests for non existant users' home directories on a F14 machine to my file server (CentOS).
The message log on the file server shows the following
May 23 03:10:53 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 24 03:21:13 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 25 03:26:53 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 25 09:03:54 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 25 20:45:06 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/mike: No such file or directory
May 26 03:36:11 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 27 03:19:19 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 27 08:47:33 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/releng: No such file or directory
May 27 19:00:57 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/data: No such file or directory
May 27 19:05:24 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/data: No such file or directory
May 27 22:54:02 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/releng: No such file or directory
May 28 03:35:20 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/httpd: No such file or directory
May 28 09:21:52 data mountd[4835]: can't stat exported dir /export/home/data: No such file or directory
I cannot find anything in the logs on the F14 machine that indicates a mount request to the file server, but then I am not an expert on nfs.
The users does not exists on the F14 machine, and I've run rpm -Va (verify all) and have not gotten any indications that rouge packages are installed. The F14 machine is auto patched so I'm up to speed with updates.
Does anybody have a clue on what's going on?
BR,
J.
