rpm's related to Dell

I see that there are some rpm's that contain the name Dell
in the title, like:
- firmware-addon-dell
- yum-dellsysid
The description does not contain enough information to
judge what these packages do.

Are these packages supplied bij Dell themselves for use
with Dell servers sold with Red Hat Linux installed
or can they also be used with any Dell desktop/laptop?

Can they for example be used for BIOS updates or do
you need special BIOS packages supplied by Dell?
