AOL and Yahoo Mail in Thunderbird

I don't know about Yahoo, but AOL mails have been converted to
standard IMAP accounts about 6+ years ago, perhaps 10...

Configure it with the following settings:

MAIL SERVER:
imap.aol.com

outgoing smtp server:
smtp.aol.com

Account username: your AOL screen name
E-Mail password: your AOL password.

That's it. I'm using several @AIM.com email accounts that use the same
AOL back end with no problems.
