Is it safe to yum remove plymouth from F-15 -

For my own system F15.x86_64, I did a "yum erase plymouth\*"
then "yum install dracut".
Which pulled back in 3 of the 7 plymouth pkgs.

I can not see any speed increase (not measured in any scientific way)

If only systemd, would let yum-updateonboot finish :(
