http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=OTk1NQ some of us (me, for instance) have to choise between good gnome3 appeance of decent screen resolution when using hdmi, not mention to 3d acceleration. i'll wait this driver to appear on rpmfusion repo, ;)
