on the other hand why have you "kernel-tools-devel" installed
below my kernel-packages and i am using vmware-workstation which
compiles kernel-modules after each update
[root at srv-rhsoft:~]$ rpm -qa | grep kernel
kernel-devel-3.6.8-2.fc17.x86_64
kernel-headers-3.6.8-2.fc17.x86_64
kernel-3.6.8-2.fc17.x86_64
[root at srv-rhsoft:~]$
