Fedora 16 preupgrade with grub2 failure.

What I put in my grub.conf file that worked is:

title Fedora16
        root (hd0,0)
	kernel /vmlinuz-3.2.7-1.fc16.i686 
root=/dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00
	initrd /initramfs-3.2.7-1.fc16.i686.img
