what are you talking about?
my command removes the *dupe* and nothing else
nowhere did i say use yum!

which is exactly the same as i said with additional params
but you referred to rpm-sripts and so --noscripts is the param
for it (and why i mentioned "man rpm" to read and understand)

hence the hammer would have been "rpm -e --noscripts --nodeps cronie-1.4.10-6.fc19.i686"
and in any case i recommended "yum reinstall cronie" *after* that to be 100% safe
