I don't recall if the OP, the person with the problem, said that this
was one-of-two machines. It did not read like that.

As for a 'learning experience? Perhaps. BUT IMHO Joe/Jane User wants a
machine that works not one that needs fixing. Like your car. Or
household appliances. Tools. Etc.
