High CPU usage with VLC and Totem

Hi,

When I play videos in vlc or totem there is high cpu usage and cinnamon is
the one which contributes to most of the usage (around 50%) of the cpu
usage (according to the system monitor)

I have this issue after I upgraded from f20 from f19. I upgraded using yum
and my current DE is cinnamon 2.0.14. This is an Acer Aspire 4736z.

Anyone with the same issue? and suggestions for resolving the issue?
