Fedora-like Linux for 1.99GB RAM?

I have Fedora 20 running on a laptop with 1.5gb of RAM. Gnome desktop is  
slow, but usable.

I also have it running on an eee 900 mini-laptop, also with 1.5gb or RAM  
using the XFCE desktop. It's slow, and just bearable.
