A few graphic glitches with Fedora 20 MATE+Compiz

Hi,

I've recently installed the Fedora 20 MATE/Compiz spin. While it mostly 
works fine, I'm having a few graphics problems. They seem upstream 
related, but perhaps you guys have a few ideas.


1. I can't set the size or theme of the mouse pointer; the setting is 
only respected in Firefox.

Setting "cursor size" in CompizConfig has no effect either.


2. Qt applications in the system tray show a black border.

Apparently this goes back to GNOME 2 days - and alternatives (alltray, 
kdocker) didn't work too well.


3. The popup for mate-volume-control-applet doesn't show in the right 
place: near the bottom taskbar instead of the top.
