I wouldn't be buying either one:

Interesting little story there about the Asus boards. Interesting how
a defective board, and I've gotten defectives from several sources...
it happens, got turned into a "Boycott Asus". I've never had an
unusual problem with an Asus board. And as far as Asus not supporting
Linux, I have to call BS on that too.

Sitting in front of me (to my left actually since I eMail on my lappie)
is a new Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe based system. Pop in the accompanying CD
and what do I find? Linux Drivers. Linux Audio drivers. Linux
chipset drivers. Linux LAN drivers. Even 64-bit drivers for the
secondary SATA controller.

No, I'm not an Asus fanboy, my last mobo was a DFI, and the one before
that was an Abit. I buy the mobo that best suits my needs at the time
with both features and accessories. It just sounds to me like whoever
wrote that article is trying to get a job in the PR dept at M$. He's
definately got the "confuse the issues and induce fear in the consumer"
part down. Bill & Steve would be impressed :)
