Well, I reckon <A HREF="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=141885">this bug (141885)</A> over at bugzilla.redhat.com just about covers it... I removed the "apm=power-off" option from my own grub.conf and it now boots, both 760_FC3 and 766_FC3. It's just that it probably won't now power off correctly :-(
