you cant run strace on a shell file, <br>
by the output of the sh -x you gave before it does not look like the /etc/init.d/VRTSralus.init<br>
do any thing else than remove the pid file and then run the /opt/VRTSralus/bin/beremote (this is a directory??)<br>
