Basically install your modem with the "ethernet" line on a normal hub;<br>plug your Linux into that hub. Under /etc/resolv.conf tell the Linux<br>box that your DNS is the Comcast Cable box -- probably <a href="http://10.0.0.1">
10.0.0.1</a> or<br>something like that. Just keep pointing to their name servers:<br><br>nameserver <a href="http://10.67.110.11">10.67.110.11</a><br>nameserver <a href="http://192.168.110.11">192.168.110.11</a><br><br>Then, you set your /etc/hosts lines like this
<br><a href="http://127.0.0.1">127.0.0.1</a> localhost.localdomain localhost<br><a href="http://10.0.0.100">10.0.0.100</a> inside.private inside<br><br>Make sure your network is plumbed so that you are on the Private NAT

Is this advice for using hub so that more than one computers can
connect to the internet via hub? I only had the cable
connection setup for one computer now. <br>
