If you want to use a self-signed certificate, despite the prior
information about it not being verifiable, then you need to generate a
new one using the exact same fully-qualified domain name that your HTTPS
site will be accessed through.

i.e. If it's accessed as <a moz-do-not-send="true"
 class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://www.example.com">https://www.example.com</a> then the certificate
must be for <a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated"
 href="http://www.example.com">www.example.com</a>, not just example.com, nor any other
variation.</pre>

Hello Tim,<br>
  <br>
If so, how to make self-signed certificate for the Site ( eg :
  <a moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-freetext"
 href="https://www.example.com">https://www.example.com</a> -&gt; <a
 moz-do-not-send="true" class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated"
 href="http://www.example.com">www.example.com</a> ) ?<br>
Due to the certificate still to search "localhost.localdomain"...<br>
  <br>
Any more help for me ?<br>
Thanks !<br>
  <br>
Edward.<br>

Take a look at: <br>
<br>
&nbsp;&nbsp; <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.tc.umn.edu/~brams006/selfsign.html">http://www.tc.umn.edu/~brams006/selfsign.html</a> <br>
<br>
It is tedious and looks complicated but if you follow the step-by-step
you can get to where you want.<br>
