<br>subject line is erroneously stating. I had recently done a BIOS update<br>to BIOS version 4.00 for this machine. When I looked in the BIOS<br>options, I couldn't find one for enabling on-board sound. And I can't
<br>remember whether I tested the audio under Windows Vista before, or<br>after, I did the BIOS update. I think it was before.<br><br>Also, I'm fairly certain there is only one keyboard shortcut for the<br>audio, Fn-and a little graphic for speakers, which seems to mute the
<br>"Master" control or turn it back on. I'll double-check the<br>documentation. Pulseaudio is still complaining that it can't find the<br>"Capture" control.<br><br>Could I have made a mess of the audio with the BIOS update? Perhaps I
