</div>Well, Fedora provides the best Linux environment for me on THIS<br>
machine. It does not provide an acceptable environment on my<br>
Stylistic 1000 with 24Mb of RAM and a 500Mb PCMCIA memory drive. But<br>
then, neither does Ubuntu.<br>

Ubuntu would probably be a better environment for my 85 year old<br>
dad. Linux is not the best environment for My sister that does<br>
embroidery, because the software create designs, and put the designs<br>
on her machine will not run under Linux, and there is not Linux<br>
version. (It is a special format - you can not just take a .png or<br>
.jpg and load it.)<br>

I have no idea what would provide the best Linux environment for<br>
you. It depends on a lot of factors, none of witch you have provided.<br>
