Are you sure that's the new version on the download page? I'm trying to
get it for FC3/RHEL4 and the filename is
fedora-ds-1.0-2.RHEL4.i386.opt.rpm which I think is the same as 1.0.0?

It must be a caching problem, either in your browser or in the squid.

Sorry for the stupid question but what is the difference between 1.0.1
and 7.1? There is a link at the bottom of that page that has 7.1??
