http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Meetings has the meeting mins
or logs for others to read and continue the discussions on the list
later if required on their convenient time.

Alex,
FYI, I would have been very enthusiast of being there on the first Fedora-ambassadors Meeting.
Unfortunatly, as the meeting takes place during office hours and as my company does not allow me to use any IRC,Jabber,etc... client softs due to restricted policies, I could not be there.
I think I am not the only one in that case.
Nonetheless, I will principaly communicate via mail on Fedora-ambassadors-list.
So, it could be nice to have a board where we could retreive the ideas developped during meetings in the case of we would not have had the possibility to be present at these ones.
Well, it is just an idea.

Well now that we are reaching the critical mass on this list, I would like to call our first meeting:
UTC-time Raleigh <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=207> Berlin <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=37> Brisbane <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=47> Mumbai <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=44>
Thursday, <http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?year=2005&month=11&d...> November 24, 2005 at 14:00:00 Thu 9:00 AM Thu 3:00 PM Fri Midnight Thu 7:30 PM
I hope it works for everybody.
I will assume that silence means consent, so please complain now if the time is bad for you.
We currently have 20 subscribers to the list. I think 10 folks will constitute a quorum.
We will meet on freenode, as usual, in #fedora-mktg
I will post the agenda on http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/Meetings later today and send out an alert.
Cheers,
a

[Fedora-ambassadors-list] Re: FEDORA PROJECT BRAZIL
by Alex
This is a great idea and I am glad you went ahead and implemented it.
As for the logo useon stickers and T-shirts--because our logo is so
new, and we have not done this before, I would feel more comfortable
if Rodrigo sent the designs to me first, so I can make sure the logo
is used correctly.
Otherwise, if you have a legal entity (ideally a non-profit) to
collect the money (and to pay taxes off the profits), there should not
be any problems.
If you do not have the organization to process the money flow, I would
say WAIT until we have one, and then we will help you collect and
spend the money. We are very close to getting a bank account for
Fedora in the US, and many things will become easier from there.
Rodrigo, please keep me in the loop on this one.

[Fedora-ambassadors-list] Welcome to the team!
by Alex
Hello dear Fedora Ambassadors!
I am glad to welcome you to the team.
We have some exciting tasks ahead of us, spreading the good word about
Fedora and I would like to take this opportunity to make sure you all
know what this team is all about.
First of all, we represent Fedora to the rest of the world. Please
remember this at all times! I encourage you to read
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Ambassadors/Conduct and to ask questions
here on this list whenever in doubt.
Second, we are the ones responsible for making sure the world knows
about Fedora. How do we do this?
We go to all sorts of events, IT, Linux, or maybe even music and art
shows and talk with people about advantages of Fedora and Open Source
software to them.
It is important to remember that most people out there would not be
able to name more than two operating systems, and that the advantages
of OSS are not obvious to them.
So please if you have not spoken with complete newbies about Fedora,
Linux, OSS etc in a while, do your homework. Here is a good place to
start: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Marketing/TalkingPoints
Third, please also keep your eyes open for events that would let
Fedora ehibit or have a talk for free or for *very* little money.
If you find such an event, alert the rest of us on the list, and we
will decide whether to go there and if yes what materials you will
receive, and what funds we can make available for you.
You can also order some material for giving out -- use the online form
at http://fedoraproject.org/forms/AmbassadorForm.html
We will add other goodies with time.
And lastly, please be sure to recruit others to support you in the
region you are representing. We should aim to have at least two folks
in each region, but ideally more is better--and if you are travelling
or ill, or if we need to cover multiple events it is always good to
have someone to jump in for you.
Okay, that is basically it. Please ask questions if something is unclear!
Cheers,
a
