[Fedora-ambassadors-list] Fedora Stuff at Red Hat Cool Stuff Store
by Thomas Canniot
Hello everybody,
First I would like to say that this mail is not -from my point of view-
out this list because it concerns the feedbacks of fedora users (at
least French users), and it is part of Ambassador's job to report
feddbacks. :)
Fedora Stuff had been announced as available on RH Cool Stuff Store. We,
the French Community, were very eager to have the cool stuffs available.
We were very impatient and I did my best to calm down some French people
from taking the logo and making our *own* French Fedora T-shirt and
goodies, that wouldn't help supporting RH/ the distro. Then we waited.
And we finally got them! Great news! Thanks everybody, I personaly find
the t-shirts and the caps look great! I wanted to order a shirt, and
found *by surprise* that shipping costs were 3.5 more expensive than the
t-shirts itself (53$ shipping for a 15$ t-shirt)!
Many people are complaining, because we feel it as unfair, and because
other shops can make more than better shipping costs!
Where is the problem? Is there something wrong?
Regards,

[Fedora-ambassadors-list] alias e-mail is pointing to an older email address
by Frederic Hornain
Dear *,
I know I was not be on the mailling list for quite long time but I am always
be active as Belgian Ambassador.
Well, the fact is I had to change my email address to the Fedora Account
System due to specific policies.
That is what I did. So I went to my Fedora Account system and then I change
the value of the email address box to a new one.
However, at the contrary of what it is written on the following URL "
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EmailAliases?action=show&redirect=Ambassado...
"
which is "Your aliases will forward to whatever email address you have
registered in the Account System. If ever you need to change the address
your mail forwards to, that is the place to do it.".
It seems that my alias does not point to the correct address even if I
changed it in Fedora Account System.
Maybe, someone in this mailling list could help me resovle this little
problem.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Fred

[Fedora-ambassadors-list] Cost of producing Fedora stuff
by Pawel Sadowski
Hi,
I want to ask one question. I am planning to prepare something about 200
T-shirts and the same amount of Fedora DVDs for the future events
(LinuxWorld was postponed and as I know will be propably on autumn).
More-less in the same time, there will be few events in Poland - Fedora
Open Days, LinuxWorld as I mentioned and a Red Hat conference - maybe it
will be possible to place Fedora booth there, so I will need swag. I can
order it from the US, but I think it would be cheaper if I produced it
locally (one Fedora T-shirt at Red Hat Cool Stuff Store is $15, while
cost of one T-shirt in Poland would be about $6). As I mentioned in my
previous e-mail - it is too large amount for me to pay for 200 T-shirt
by myself. What can I do in this situation? If it comes about the
shipping cost from the US, I could do something what nman-64 suggested
(shipping it to someone in the US, who could forward it to me - I hae
already tried with Red Hat Cool Stuff, but resigned temporaily, I will
do it in future), but these costs of one T-shirt... I think best idea
will be to produce it locally, but I have to know how is the design on
T-shirts printed, I mean in what technology. Is it embroidered or just
printed? I would like the T-shirts as beautiful as you have them in your
store :) I will buy some stuff from the Red Hat Cool Stuff store either
way (I want few things fromt there ;)), so I could also order Fedora T-
shirts, DVDs and maybe cups, but if it would be cheaper locally then I
don't know what to do :> Give me some advice, please. I will be very
grateful :)
Best regards,
Pawel Sadowski
