My New Linux Project :)
by Manuel Escudero

Hi Fedora People!
I've been working on a new Linux project that might be interesting for some
of you and other Linux Users in the world, so
with this mail, I want to introduce you to my new Linux project, it's called
"Tux-Cellar" and it's some kind of Search Engine for Linux Binaries,
it also has other features, such as a Wiki, Chat Room, Forum and a Community
System based on Google Friend Connect.
I built this webapp because I saw that many New Linux Users still want to
install software in their distros with a simple double-click
(Mostly Windows Newbies, because they're used to "exe's work")
and with this app I pretend to make "binaries finding" easier for the users
of different distros.
Tux-Cellar lets you search, find and download ".deb" , ".rpm" , "apticons"
and many other software files for Linux, it uses databases like
Debian's/Ubuntu's ones for DEBS, RpmFind and Suse's Factory for RPMS.
For DEBS and APTICONS (Fedora's and Ubuntu's Ones) I had to create Custom
Search Engines, Meanwhile for RPMS I used the "famous ones" mentioned above.
One of the goals I have for this app is to build a Community around it, so I
included Google's Social Features for that.
I've nothing more to say but Goodbye, I invite you to check out the app at:
http://www.tuxcellar.tk/
Also, I invite you to vote for it in GAE's App Gallery at:
http://goo.gl/rGNr
And if you speak spanish, you can read the official blog announcement at:
http://goo.gl/gAtU
P.S. Hope you like this app and I also hope you to join to the app's
community and to fill in
the feedback survey I made, this with the goal of build toguether a better
Tux-Cellar Service for all the users around the world
JM :)

FAD NA - Agenda, please bring your ideas!
by Robyn Bergeron
Ambassadors,
I've started populating the agenda for FAD NA.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Ambassador_Day_North_America_2010#A...
The ideas I've put in are related to output from the Marketing FAD -
ideas about what Marketing can do to help Ambassadors. If you have
any ideas about some of the materials marketing could be producing (or
currently are producing!) for Ambassadors, please add it to the agenda
under the deliverable of "List of Ambassador marketing material
needs."
Otherwise - I encourage everyone to drop any ideas/items you'd like to
see covered into the suggested agenda list, even if you are unable to
attend in person. Personally, I like to list my agenda items in terms
of deliverables, even if the deliverable is simply a documented list
of things that need to happen, or the wiki-fying of a process that has
been decided upon; feel free to follow my lead on how I've written
down my ideas for the agenda, or do your own thing! The important
thing is that we get the basic framework and topics for our agenda
down, so that we can move forward on logistical things like, "How many
days do we need," "How can we best organize our time," etc.
Cheers,
-Robyn

Campus Ambassadors -- Where we are and where we want to be (the Ambassadors List version)
by Ryan Rix
Hello one and all!
The work to reenergize the Fedora Campus Ambassadors program continues! I
just wanted to let the list know of a few things, and ask a few
questions..
I just mailbombed about twenty people listed on the CampusAmb page[1] who
are listed, but are not a member of Fedora's ambassadors group, asking
them to apply for ambassadorship if they are interested in joining the
program. The rationale for this is explained at [2]. tl;dr: Campus
Ambassadors are regular ambassadors who represent themselves at schools
rather than the entire community. As such, anyone who's actually
interested in joining Campus Ambassadors is about to go find a mentor...
Just giving our loving mentors a heads up :)
Which takes me to my next thing... I considered bringing this straight to
FAMSCo, but maybe bringing it to the main list would be a good way to come
up with possible a better solution. I'd like to propose having a few new
mentors added to the current list of Fedora Ambassadors Mentors. Yes, yes,
I know, crazy. These mentors would not be allowed to mentor anyone
_except_ campus ambassadors and/or they would be the only ones allowed to
mentor campus ambassadors, so that they get proper vetting and training as
to how they can affect campuses, since they are decidedly different places
that the Real World. What are everyone's thoughts on this? How would we
make this happen?

Fedora KSA mailing list
by Tareq Al Jurf
Hi all
I always find fedora users in Saudi Arabia on some forums.
So I thought that there's nowhere better to unite than having a list for
Saudi Fedora users.
So is that possible?
Regards
