Re: [Ambassadors] CD / DVD stickers needed
by Vali Cobelea
Hi,
Thank you for this info, I'm planning several short presentations about
Fedora Project at the University of Galati, Romania, and I did not know from
where / how to get Fedora 11 CDs / DVDs.

Drupalistas: Call for participation on Fedora Insight
by Pascal Calarco
Hi Fedora Ambassadors --
Do you have intermediate to advanced Drupal 6 skills, and some time to
apply these to benefit the Fedora community? Would you be interested in
leveraging these to help spread the word about Fedora?
If so, then we have a great opportunity for you!
Fedora Insight[1] is a content portal for aggregated news, views, and
events about the Fedora Project that a multi-faceted team has been
working on over the last while. The vision is to build a rich, dynamic
one-stop place to get the latest news on Fedora. The first content
we're incorporating is Fedora Weekly News[2], and we're in the midst of
themeing the site as well as creating new Views for FWN issues. Come
join us! We meet Thursdays on irc.freenode.net
If you are interested, please join the Fedora logistics list[3], and
introduce yourself to the team! We've also started a new Fedora Project
Drupal group[4] for more recruitment, so join us there too, once it has
been approved by the moderators there! Thanks so much!

[EMEA] Talks for FOSDEM 2011
by Pierros Papadeas
Hi all!
Our next big event in EMEA is FOSDEM 2011 :)
As you have seen on this list we are already organizing our presence
[1]. (Add yourself if you are coming!)
Please note that we need to step up and register some talks on the
Distribution MiniConf (a Conference on Distributions within FOSDEM).
We are 20 fedorians already coming to FOSDEM and I am sure we have a
lot to share with other communities (community, technical etc)
In order to participate in the discussion please join the dist2011
mailing list to state your talk proposal or reply here and I can relay
that :)
Also note that we need to keep our wiki updated for that [3] and that
you can have a talk in the Main Track (Our FPL will!) or a lighting
talk!
~π
ps. for questions please reply here or ping biertie (our event owner)
or me on IRC

Organisational Marketing (Tour Fedora)
by bhutto aamir
Dear Fedora Team Members
I’ve been occupied with my studies for the past few months, but not I can sneak out some time. Just wondering if there’s someone around who can help or guide me with organisational marketing,
We are working here with 500+ computers (university campus) and rarely anyone knows about Fedora Or Red Hat or Linux J So I guess it’ll be a great opportunity to introduce Fedora and a little about Free Open Source Software’s.
I was thinking about an event, more like an introduction to Linux and Fedora. I hope to find some resources and guidelines around; any help from U.K Contributors will be appreciated.
Event: Organisational Marketing (tour fedora)
Location: Llandrillo College Rhos-on-Sea Conwy, North Wales
Date: To be decided

post-FOSDEM Super Bowl viewing
by Max Spevack
I'm trying to find out whether the restaurant that had a Super Bowl
party last year in Brussels still has spaces left for this year, and I'm
curious to know if there are folks who will be at FOSDEM who have any
interest in watching the game.
I have to put down a cash deposit to save the seats, which requires me
to know in advance how many seats we need, since last year they ran out
and I got lucky to get two seats at the last second.
Frederic has volunteered to bring the cash and allow me to pay him back,
since he lives in Brussels, but I need to know who might want to watch
the game. If we are lucky, we can get 5 seats. If we are unlucky, we
will get less.
Details:
FOSDEM ends on Sunday, February 6th in the afternoon.
The Super Bowl is also on Sunday, February 6th. But it starts just
after midnight in Brussels, as Sunday turns over to Monday, and lasts
about 4 hours.
So if you're still in Brussels (most people already have left by then)
at that time and you care at all about American football and want to
come watch the game with me, let me know.
Once I hear back from the restaurant as to the spaces that are left,
I'll send another email. As I said before, we'll be lucky if we can get
5 seats.

Visa for FOSDEM!
by Gent Thaçi
Dear all,
I am planning to go in Brussels, Belgium on the 4th till 7th of February,
2011 for being a part of Fedora Project team as an Ambassador at FOSDEM
(conference), for that I need a Schengen Visa. I had my appointment today to
apply but couldn’t go in time to apply because I didn’t have “the original”
invitation paper which arrived 1 hour later. I have all documents ready
including original invitation paper, plane ticket reservation, booked hotel,
parental and school permit etc. I am applying at Belgian Embassy in
Prishtina, Kosovo in my next appointment at 10:45 (GMT +01:00) this Thursday
(27th). Chances are minimal to get it because I am late but If somebody can
help me, it’ll be more than appreciated!
Please spread the word!
Sincerely,
Gent
