Hi,
We confirm that, myself and Nihed M'barek, will be present at this
year's FOSDEM 2011 iteration. We'll be staying at the Renaissance
Hotel for the duration of the event, just like the previous year.
We'd like to thank Bert Desmet and Frederic Hornain for the invitation
letter and the strong support, you guys have provided to us with.
We've got a lot of facts and stories to tell about Tunisia. See you
there soon ! :)

Hello all!
Our Ambassadors FAQ [1] is ready and FAmSCo members would enjoy feedback
from all ambassadors. Feel free to edit the page and add more questions
and answers you might find valuable for our fellow ambassadors.
FAmSCo is also working on writing Ambassadors SOP. We will keep updating
the FAQ and adding links to the new SOPs where appropriated.

Thanks!

Hi fellow ambassadors.
The people running the Fedora Latam Magazine project is going to host a
classroom session on the basic usage of Git, to our fellows in the team,
in order to ease and agilize our workflow on writing and design the next
issues. Wednesday February 2, 21:00 UTC on #fedora-classroom
We'll write almost just in Spanish and centered on the practical use of
our repo in fedorahosted, rather than generic instructions, but if you
want to try on your own fedorapeople repo, and since the commands we are
going to run can be ported to other scenarios, maybe you'd like to join
us and share your thoughts and if you get in trouble we could help you.
Anyway we'll translate the logs and graphics to English, in order let
more people give some feedback if they find that workshop useful.
This is the thread exposing some disclaimers and goals on classroom
mailing list:
http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/classroom/2011-January/000203.html
Best regards, and good luck on FUDCon and FAD.
Sending positive energy to Brisbane and APAC gathering there ;)

Hello Everyone,
Greetings. :)
For this weekend, I ask any online ambassadors for your online access to the following IRC channels on Saturday, January 29th from 00:00 to 06:00 UTC and Sunday, January 30th from 00:00 to 04:45 UTC. :)
=======================================
On Saturday, IRC and possible Fedora Talk would be a good proof of our technology. :)
Saturday, January 29th from 00:00 to 06:00 UTC #fedora-meeting IRC channel
* https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/LCA_2011
On Sunday, only IRC is needed due to bandwidth requirements. :)
Sunday, January 30th from 00:00 to 04:45 UTC #fedora-fad IRC channel
* https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAD_@_Brisbane_2011
=======================================
This online idea is open to all ambassadors around the world. :)
I kindly ask for your support of our fellow ambassadors azneita and kaio in Brisbane for their success in both the Open Day and FAD schedule for this weekend. Unfortunately, asmartgoat will not be at Open Day due to personal reasons.
I strongly hope that you may join us in support of azneita and kaio. :)
Sending positive Fedora 14 and 15 energy to your computers now. :v)
Please have a great day and/or evening! :~)
Thank You
Sincerely

Dear ambassadors,
While the JIL (Journée de l'Informatique Libre) is an event that place
every year (well since last year) to Toulon on the subject of
Free Software. It is also the only important event of its kind hosted by
the city. This remains a much more local event that JM2L example. This
day was organized by PostPro association.
For my part I attended the whole day and I held a stand. Moreover Fedora
was the only distribution "officially" shown, the other stands involve
local associations or more general as APRIL.
We were able to interact with interesting people, make Fedora, etc. Then
I reinforced the links with JM2L associations in the corner, Fedora is
the only major distribution
not used by a member of these associations, some people who wanted to
talk about Fedora have been redirected to me directly particular. I find
this important.
The day was otherwise well spent with interesting lectures.
But this event is not organized by PostPro next year. I therefore
proposed to organizers to take over in a few weeks, I will discuss more
deeply. And of course, Fedora can be better lighting next year in this
case (this year it was Kaella, after distribution of the association
Linux-Azur).
Organizers for the event have ordered (or received) a large number of
Linux Pratique Essentiel (a French magazine) on Fedora 13 (and Ubuntu
10.10), which were free distribution.At the end of the day, there
remained 25. The organizer has kindly given meGiven the overall quality
of the article Fedora, I think it could be used at future events.
Otherwise it has received some donations of CDs, about 5-10 left.
