I recommend the next FAmSCo members to look into the reporting process
in order to make it better. The biggest difficulty of making such
reports right now is finding updated data on information sources.
This term we simplified a lot how those reports are made. They are now
more straightforward and easier to compose but the process still needs
to be improved. Another ways of reporting FAmSCo activity would be a
nice improvement as well. I'm pretty sure the new FAmSCo members will
keep improving the reports of the committee activity continuously
improving the transparency.

and will end Thursday, June 7th, 2012 at 23:59:59 UTC.

Wrapping up some SELF details and FAD @ SELF? Anyone?

Greetings, ambassadors coming to SELF:
Three things:
First: For the love of all things beefy, please, put your name on the
SELF wiki page if you have not done so already:

There are multiple sections - for "if you're planning to booth,"
giving a presentation, if you want to share when you arrive/depart,
etc. This is very helpful information to have.
Second: If you are unsure of your ride details from airports or etc.,
please start sorting them out now.
Third: We have a room available to us on Sunday at SELF in which I was
thinking it might be nice to Get Something Done, but I wanted to feel
out who was interested in participating, etc before finalizing
anything. This is basically a "we can get a few things done in a
couple hours with who we have on hand" type fad, not a "haul everyone
in" kind of fad :)
Some thoughts:
* Marketing FAD (Assess current state of marketing collateral, plan
for F18 and beyond)
* Finance FAD (Take a look at finance approval processes and perhaps
come up with something new; talk about current state of budget, etc)
* Plan FAMNA FAD, FAD (Make a plan for what we might want to
accomplish at a North American Ambassador FAD)
* ?????????? Your suggestions here

[Event Report] Release Party F17 Surakarta, 2 Juni 2012

Hi,
Release party Fedora 17 Surakarta[1] successfully implemented. There are
several parties who participated to help the course of events. FICOS[2],
helped organize the event, administering licensing place and fill the
opening session. Semartv[3], helps in order event could viewed in live
streaming. Streaming went well although there are constraints about the
sound. KPLI SOLO[4], help smooth the whole event. Participants who register
actually almost 50 people, but for some reason that came about 20 people.
Participants consisted of students UNS, SINUS, UGM and doscom.

[Event Report] Fedora Activity Day, June 2, 2012 @ Red Hat, Pune

Hi,
A Fedora Activity Day [1] (FAD) was organized on Saturday, June 2,
2012 at the Red Hat office premises in Pune, India.
This was an activity based event, where there were no talks. The
various topics suggested during the FAD included development,
packaging, and documentation work.
The newbies worked on GNU Hello RPM packaging [2], while others worked
on pushing updates to existing packages, and packaging new software.
I had submitted a new Csmith [3] package release for review, and
packaged and submitted sized-types [4], and netlist-to-vhdl [5]
Haskell packages for review. Lakshmi Narasimhan completed the package
review for sized-types.
I had requested Fedora Infrastructure to make Agilo for Trac
[6] (Apache license) available. It was made available for testing
during the FAD, and I tested the same with the Fedora Electronic
Lab [7] trac instance. All the Agilo plugins are now enabled in
the trac for use.
We also had an F17 release party during the event, where Rahul
Sundaram cut a beautiful, tasty, F17 cake.
Thanks to Red Hat for hosting the event, sponsoring the lunch, and
providing the facilities for the FAD.

FAmNA Meeting Announcement (05 June 2012)

Please join us for our weekly FAmNA meeting this Tuesday at 9:00pm

I'd like to remind everyone that it is important for us to get some work
accomplished at these meetings and staying on the topic is important
to that end. All comments are welcome from ambassadors during the
meetings but please wait until the Open Floor to add any subject matter
not included in the meeting agenda via a ticket.
Feel free to add to the agenda. The easy way to add an agenda item is
described at the bottom of this announcement. Especially if you have an
event coming up that needs some attention.
This week we will focus on cleaning up any outstanding issues for SELF.
That is urgent as SELF will begin is just a few more days. We also want

that event creeps up on us. A third topic, FADNA organization, is on the
agenda but I don't plan to spend much time on it beyond making sure we
are all on the same page about what it is and how we should proceed in
