FAmSCo meeting minutes 2014-02-24

Hi, we had the first meeting in the new term. Because 3/7 members didn't attend we decided to hold the vote of the new FAmSCo chair. What we discussed at the meeting was a revoke process for mentors and ambassadors and if we really need it. This would be a big change in the Ambassadors program which is why we're going to discuss it further in a ticket that I will create in the FAmSCo trac. You'll be welcome to participate. Fedora 20 Release Party Cusco-Perú

Hello world, thanks to the collaboration of the French Alliance Cusco and Fedora Ambassadors in Cusco (Peru) We make the release party. We had Internet connection problems which prevented us from having contact with Luis Bazan <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Lbazan>, whom I appreciate your willingness to help me with this activity. Despite the low attendance was very productive in the sense that we could talk for a while and show some new fedora and especially OpenShift. Abhad <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Abhadd> very actively collaborate in the development of this activity in particular with the part of photography that performed excellently. Thanks to Luis and Abhad for their collaboration and to our few attendees in this activity too. Fedora 20 release Party in Paris, France

Hi, The french community is pleased to organize a Fedora 20 release party in Paris (France) this saturday, 18 of february. They will take place in the "Université des sciences", from 2p.m. to 5p.m. (GMT +1). It will be followed by the general meeting of Borsalinux-fr, the french association who supports Fedora. We will send a report once the event is over. French announce: L'association Borsalinux-Fr vous donne rendez-vous le samedi 15 février 2014 à la Cité des Sciences à Paris (au 30 avenue Corentin Cariou dans le 19e) pour les Rencontres Fedora 20. Cet événement aura lieu dans le Carrefour numérique de la Cité (au 1er sous-sol) de 14h à 17h et sera suivie par l'assemblé générale de Borsalinux-Fr, association qui fait la promotion de Fedora dans les pays francophones. Pour cette nouvelle version de Fedora, pleine de nouveautés, ces Rencontres sont l'occasion de découvrir Fedora, sa communauté et d'échanger sur le monde du Logiciel Libre. Lors de cette journée, vous pourrez demander une démonstration et une installation de Fedora 20 mais aussi venir discuter du projet et de son organisation avec la communauté francophone. I shall always remember the support extended by Shakthi to help me learn and understand things. You agreed to mentor me in spite of your busy schedule and provided advice and assistance as and when needed. Thank you Shakthi. At this juncture, can I also seek your advice as to how should I continue. After you are gone, I am without a mentor. [APAC] Voting for support ticket #118

Hello my fellows in APAC, As discussed in the last meeting [1], we decided not to vote for support ticket #118 [2] in the meeting but do it later after recalculating APAC budget in Q4-FY2014. Although this request has not put in schedule since beginning of the fiscal year 2014 yet, I think, it is worth to support him to the event because of his schedule during the event (he requested for $550 support for travel subsidy). After recalculating the budget in Q4, there is some left money in FY2014 budget to support him. Sooner is better since flight fare is increasing day by day. Instead of waiting for the next bi-weekly meeting (on March 1st), I would like to ask if it is fine for us to cast your vote directly to the ticket.
