I have a contact that does custom embroidery. She looked at the Fedora
logos, and said that she can do custom shirts. I wanted to gauge the
interest for both Ambassadors and CommOps members in nice(r) shirts with
an embroidered logo.
The price has not been set yet, as the choice of shirt is up to you -
you can send her a shirt you want embroidered, or she can provide one.
I was thinking along the lines of nice Polo style or button down
shirts. Once I get rough numbers, I can get her in touch with the design
team and ask for a price.

After our initial discussion at the EMEA Ambassadors meetup that took
place after DevConf in Brno, we discussed which events Fedora should
participate in the next fiscal year. You can find a draft of the Event
Plan in this page (more events will be added in the upcoming days).
This page consists of all the events in EMEA that Fedora will have a
presence there, so if you would like to represent Fedora in an event,
add it to the list, following the instructions at the top of the wiki
If you think that you will need funds in order to participate at an
event, specify the amount in the appropriate column in the wiki, so that
the event would be in the budget proposal for the next year. If you ask
for funds for an event after the fiscal year starts (March 2016), we
might not be able to sponsor you, if your event is not initially planned
in the budget.
If you have events that you want to include in the Event Plan, please
do so before the end of the next week (28 February).

I have become a bit backlogged with client work coupled with my writer's
block for the intro to the article regarding the reboot of the Campus

to pick up the slack on my behalf so the publishing of the article is not

just for those who haven't noticed it so far, our long time contributor and
ambassador Joerg Simon is nominated for NullCon BlackShield Award 2016, see
(and please vote for him) here:
This nomination happens to individuals whose contributions and efforts are
positively impacting the world of IT security. Joerg himself is driving the
Fedora Security spin with passion for some years now and thus it feels to
me, that Fedora, ambassadors and IT security are an awesome mix and allow
interesting collaborative results - given he is usually teaching Fedora and
IT security at the same time.
I would expect a possible BlackShield Award could increase the interest in
Fedora and the security spin, so don't forget to vote for our fellow... ;-)
