Hello Ambassadors,
A friendly reminder, the Fedora 26 release is coming out on July 11, 2017 (June 27, 2017 will be F26 Final Freeze) and it’s time for the Ambassadors to plan their activities around the release. You can also see the Ambassadors schedule [1] for the time frame that a release party should be held.
As our wiki [2] says, help spread Fedora in your local area and provide an opportunity for Fedora users in your area to come together as a community. Release Party itself could be a meeting in a cafe or a larger scale with workshops/talks.
If you will need the poster artwork for you party, here is the ticket [3] the Fedora Design Team is working on. Once the Fedora Media Artwork will be ready they will publish it here [4].
Don't forget to create a wiki page (https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Release_Party_F26_YOUR-PLACE) for your event and link that page to the overview page of all release events [5].
Do you need some swag or budget for your Release Party? Then open a ticket in advance to request some swag and/or a budget ticket to be reviewed during the regional Ambassadors Meeting.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask.
Best regards!
Jona

Hi everyone,
I have a new spare Motorola Atrix Lapdock that I could donate. You can
hook it up to a raspberry pi with a few adapters/cables:
http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Raspberry-Pi-Lapdock-Connection/
"The lapdock incorporates a razor-sharp 11" HDMI display, an
almost-adequate keyboard-with-trackpad, twin speakers, and a
high-capacity battery -- all in a thin two-pound package."
(Note: "razor-sharp" == 1366x768.)
Are any regions interested in receiving it?
-Mike

Ambassadors and members of Fedora community,
unfortunately I have to cancel the Elections to FAmSCo due to a
mistake made in configuration of Voting machine. Today (Friday)
morning I received an email reporting issue where people who are not
members of "ambassadors" group in FAS can not vote. Quick check of the
Voting machine setup shows there is a misconfiguration of the FAmSCo
setup causing this issue.
As this issue is a violation of
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FAmSCo_election_rules#Voters policy
saying that "Any person in the Fedora Account System who has completed
the Contributor License Agreement and is member of at least one other
group - including, but not limited to the group of ambassadors - is
eligible to vote in the FAmSCo elections.", I need to cancel the
current Voting to FAmSCo and run it again.
I would like to ask Ambassadors and members of Fedora community to
vote once more starting on Tuesday 2017-Aug-15 00:00:00 UTC. The new
voting period will stop on 2017-Aug-21 at 23:59:00 UTC. The setup of
the Voting machine for the new voting period is currently in progress.
I will send an announcement at the beginning of the new voting period
to inform people the voting has started.
I am really sorry for this issue and I hope the result of the FAmSCo
elections will not be affected by this issue.
Currently running elections to Council and FESCo are not affected by this issue.
Regards,
Jan
