Hello Everyone,

Greetings. :)

Ruth, thank you for your e-mail.  :)

I will provide you my insight into CES which I think will give you a good aspect on this.  :)

> > As it turns out, CES may be rather less expensive than I imagined. I've requested their sponsorship prospectus and will let the list know what it says. I'm not convinced it's the best use of Fedora money, but I won't say it's not worth at least finding out what it would cost.

> Survey says... yikes!
> Booth space is $42/sq ft, which isn't that bad and comparable to what we pay for a small booth at a large event. OK.
> But it's sold in 100 sq ft. increments. There's the yikes.
> So at $4200 just for a booth before we've paid for anyone to staff it or bought swag, that's a huge expenditure that would have to have a pretty amazing payoff.

Hotel reservations for the Las Vegas area are getting max'ed out to full capacity and getting very expensive for rooms which are available.  An additional factor to add into one's evaluation.  ;)

I have been invited to "attend" CES and as an attendee, I "expect" to see exhibits which basically knock my socks off [1] and [2].

The other exhibitors will show have exhibitions which will truly amaze the attendees, think of that as your competition for attendees' attention, if you know what I mean.

* There are "hard deadlines" [3] for the exhibitors which are require a substantial level of effort (LOE) in order to accomplish for example, all "exhibits" must be ready by 3 pm the day prior.  My two words = "Mission Impossible."

Lastly, there are about five weeks until "show time" and that includes two major U.S. holidays to get things done.  ;)

Please have a Great Fedora day and/or evening! :~)

Thank You
Sincerely
