Fedora is a large project and it is impossible for any one person to know everything and we sometimes make assumptions which turn out to be incorrect.  Is that something that needs to be corrected? Sure but regardless of how much we educate fellow contributors, we will still continue to make mistakes from time to time.   The best thing to do is change the interface to avoid this confusion and after the next marketing meeting, I expect that to happen. Perhaps any step in the joining process for marketing is not clear?  Let me know (offlist if you want to) and I can fix it up.
