So...
Would you like to move to a "rolling release"?  Becuase that is what you are describing...

I like the idea of a rolling release like Debian but it also scares the crap out of me.  I'm one of those unlucky fellows that has issues with upgrades from time to time it.  Also, with a rolling release with no number or naming system would make it very tough for those that are coming in to the fold, as well as the sites that review distros.

(my 2 cents)

F-18 != Fedora 18

Also for John:

Fedora Community != Fedora Release (name)
Fedora Contributors != Fedora Release (name)

No numbers, no names other than just Fedora.

I just do not see any point mentioning the "Contributors" or the
"Community". We need to see the BIG picture: End-users who are not
familiar with Fedora (or linux at all) and by getting them to use Fedora
it is the only way to put Fedora in common use (apart from us =
community/contributors)!

So then, if we are the "community" and "contributors", we need to see
beyond:

"Normal" Fedora users do not give a shit about the name. Only thing what
they remember is the _number_ and that is _only_ because the number is
growing (and therefore it must be something better/newer than a lower
number).

This is more or less the same thing that people (normal users) do not
know what Windows they are using or what MAC they are using. Most of
them do not even know anything about OSX or if they are using Leopard or
Snow "some-cat"!! They are just using MAC and some people are using
Windows.

Therefore we need to simplify things! Fedora WAY!

Actually now I am talking about the favour of _abandoning_ both of them!
No numbers and no names! JUST FEDORA!

Whatever the release is, it should automatically update itself to be the
latest (release) and it should be the FEDORA - just FEDORA without
additional name or number!

So, should we rather focus (in)to be able to say that Fedora is always
"up to date" and users do not have to know the release name or the
number at all? Should we be the first in the world to do that?
To have just FEDORA and no more/less.
