Another negative side, we will have to pay for every meetup group

all the Python meetup groups worldwide.
Chiming in for China. meetup is not very popular among
Chinese-speaking Chinese. It is mostly a small group of Chinese, and
mostly expats that use this. So I wonder if it would be impactful at
all, and also justify the monthly payment. Especially seen the fact
that Beijing, Shanghai, etc and even smaller cities would need their
own account?
But against all the negative points,
meetup.com has users. Which is
something with a bigger value than anything else. These users come from
different background/companies. If you see how many new
contributors/speakers we regularly get in Fedora, may be having
meetup.com groups is be a better idea.
The Chinese community is really small, so usage could justify the
cost, although I believe we can not really reach new people on there.
In all those years, I keep seeing the same people in each
group/meetup.

Gerard
