Interesting
First off, if mentoring was the issue with Ambassador Programme then
the Join SIG seems to be addressing that --although it might be
helpful to find out what went wrong with the Ambassador's Mentor
programme.
I tend to think being an Ambassador is much more than the mentoring
process. It is mostly what happens after being mentored or after you
Join.
How is the Join SIG managing the following?:
1. Event Planning
2. Fedora Representation in Events
3. Event Reporting
4. Fedora Representation in Local or Regional areas
Otherwise, is the fate of Ambassador programme already decided?
It would be interesting to know

The Fedora Join SIG is doing excellent work on people-focused mentorship
into the Fedora Community. Ankur Sinha (FranciscoD), a long-time
Ambassador, is leading this work with a group of others:

The blog post link mentions how to join the Join SIG. It would be great
to have older community members participate as mentors in this group.
There is experience in this group / mailing list that would make great
additions to the Join SIG.
