Hello everybody,
I'm writing about the French event : Rencontre Mondiale du Logiciel Libre (RMLL). It
took place at Beauvais, in France.
This event lasted for one week. The week-end, it was a group of stands with many projects
such as : Fedora, Ubuntu,
Linuxfr.org, LibreOffice, FSF and some other associations. The
rest of the week, it was the same thing with conferences.
I was present for the week-end only, Emmanuel Seyman managed the rest of event. Michael
Scherer helped me for the Sunday.
Around 30 persons talked to us about Fedora Project. There were newbies, curious people
who did not know Free Software and Fedora Project, and more experimented. Some of them had
recently switched to Fedora (from Ubuntu or Debian for most of them). It was the occasion
to explain some things : RPMFusion, Gnome Software, different spins or versions
(Workstation, Server and Cloud), etc. We presented the French community too.
We received feedback or suggestions by more experimented people. For example, about Gnome
Software :
* Add support of comments
* Details of applications shared between distributions : notes, comments and screenshots
linked with the version of packets used
A Debian's contributor suggested to participate at reproducible compilation. The
purpose is to allow the user or infrastructure to check if a RPM package is really
compiled with good sources even if GPG keys are stolen.
And, some visitors bougth our goodies. We distributed our last F21 DVD, F22 DVD
distributed during the rest of the week because we received new DVD this Monday.
It's all for my part. I presented the event in French on my blog :

I hope this report will be usefull. ;)
Regards.
