Hello everybody,
As most of you know I am the event owner for IDELO conference scheduled for the 17th of May 2010. This event being native to my country means a lot to me and my people, so I have been working very had to make it a success. However I now have serious concerns over the handling of the organization and ownership of the event. I have discussed my situation with a few fellow ambassadors and would like to bring it up in the EMEA meeting tonight. Unfortunately, due to some unforeseen personal commitments I will be unable to make it tonight so I would like to delegate Sascha to discuss this on my behalf. I hope this matter will be given the attention and merit that it requires, which should help pave the way for better handling of future events in Africa.

we kicked off Idlelo in February http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/ambassadors/2010-February/013782.html and we had a lot conversations with the fossfa - and there were times where we almost gave up to run this event because of the difficulties with the high prices and several people have put a lot effort in it to make it happen to get sponsorship from fossfa to drop the price for the booth from 5000$ to 500 $.
I wonder if you want to clarify this issues please, so we know what specifics we have to discuss in this meeting?

Not being funny here, but these FOSSFA people haven't even got proper contact details on the site! Looks a bit fishy to me.

Isaac, I suggest you to add your topic on the meeting's agenda and to be more detailed regarding the things you want to be discussed tonight. I would also like to know your reasons that you want to step down from the event owner.
