Hi everyone. We talked a little bit ago about NELF, and possibly having a fairly big Fedora presence there. I went to create an event page, and discovered that there is no FY15 page yet. I know it's a wiki, but wanted to make sure I wasn't stepping on existing process or plans before I went ahead and created it. Let me know if I should just do it.
And, related: do we want to sponsor and have a booth?

You are talking about NA budget plan for FY2015 similar ones in other regions [1], [2], [3], right? AFAIK, there is no such a plan in NA (at least, no public wiki page)
I am for you. Each region should have an annual budget plan and public it for everyone to know what is going on.
Let me know if I should just do it.

It's cool to have a booth at NELF. adimania will attend too. We are voting on Trac [4] to support him.

No, he is talking about the Events page and we extend this page as needed although the entire page is a mess that could stand some serious TLC by someone with better design skills than those of us who have updated this page seem to have. :)
Feel free to extend the page to include FY15 and add any events to it that are planned for FY15.

Well, if FAmSCo wanted a budget from NA they should have stopped by any of the weekly FAmNA meetings and asked for one or sent mail to the ambassadors list for us to see. I pay pretty close attention to things and was not aware of any of this until there was less than one week to turn them in which isn't enough time to be serious about it. And last year we frankly got tired of hearing people on FAmSCo talk about us padding the budget. And this year I am already tired of hearing people on FAmSCo talk about us not providing one when as far as I know no one on FAmSCo actually asked us for one.

Okay. Should we file a separate ticket for the booth sponsorship?
Hi Matthew,
As I understand, this would ideally come out of FAmNa budget. As per wiki [1], you or any ambassador can apply for budget and swag at trac[2].

Yes, FAmNA has always supported this event and plans to again this year. A good place to start is to notice who owned the event last year and the year before that and check with him (Mario Juliano Grande Balletta). He is likely to be planning to own it again this year but I'm sure would love help.

Hello,
I am hoping to go at Northeast Linux Fest with partial funding from Fedora and partial by my self. I had proposed a talk which was confirmed. However in order to secure a visa, I need a letter from organisers which I am not able to get.
Can anyone, who knows organisers, help me in getting the same? I had mailed Jonathan before but I am still waiting for the letter and it getting really late to get visa.
