Closing the loop on...

There is no official exhibit hall or booth space so it is unclear what role Fedora can play beyond conference attedance.
There was discussion on one of the conference lists about requesting some media (75 CDs) for the Hacker Lounge: http://opensourcebridge.org/2009/03/open-source-conference-prerequisite-1-sp... as someone was ordering OpenSUSE media and thinking it would be nice to have install media for the other distros.
I wanted to post here to make sure Matt or Larry were not already coordinating something. The event starts on June 17, 2009, so need to figure this out soon.
Thanks, John
John,
We (Larry and I) were trying to figure out the situation for OSB, we have not heard from them at all. We have both emailed them and gotten nothing at all, not even a quick reply to say there would be no exhibit hall.
If you just want to have some media to hand out for this, by all means do so.
Since there is no exhibit hall, and my funds are very tight right now, I most likely will not be attending OSB, and will be looking forward to LinuxCon in September for Portland area.

I don't know when F11 media will be ready, but it'll be cutting it close since OSB is on 6/17. I do, however, have a sizeable number of F10 disks available if need be.
Interestingly, I've been getting some answers to questions that both Matt, in Portland, and I (not in Portland) have asked for a couple of months regarding exhibiting -- some answers, not all. As there doesn't seem to be an exhibit space per se, then I think we can perhaps look forward to LinuxCon.
So Matt, stand by and if we need to get media to the Hacker Lounge (and if we can get you in), then we may still need your help.

I think it's possible we'll have media. I'm waiting for the drop of the RC so I can make masters for the duplication company. They stated 10 days (business days) from the day they get the disks to me having them in hand. If need be, we could send some 2-day air or something, which would get there in time. All we can hope for is that everything works out perfectly, and if it does, you could have the media.
Cheers,
Clint

I think Fedora 10 would be fine. I'm not convinced there is a big ROI on turning ourselves inside out to get media there or how many people will actually go to the hacker lounge.
I'm sorry that communication with OSB has not been good. I've had my own share of frustrations trying to volunteer and help directly which has been disappointing.
