Dear Mario and Mark,
I have always been fascinated by the Grace Hopper conference but I have never attended. Please count me as interested.
Just in case others are interested, I have cross-posted.
In 2010, Stormy Peters somehow procured a table for Free Software at-large. She then sent out an email blast which included women@lists.fedoraproject.org I don't know if anything came of it. Does anybody know?
I believe that Fedora is a great fit for Grace Hopper conference. The audience demographic tends to be academic. Free Software is great for doing research. Too much valuable time is wasted applying for grants to gratis proprietary software and monitoring the quantity of seats consumed. Why bother when Fedora is the freshest software out there?
Thanks for getting this started. I plus one the idea of Fedora at Grace Hopper 2012!
Thanks,
Beth Lynn Eicher

Cool beans thx Mark! You rock cuz!
I can call you like in the afternoon, when I leave work. I will be working 2 all nighters in a row, starting Tuesday and Wednesday, so if we don't hook up on Monday, I probably won't catch you until Friday. I'm involved in moving a data center this week. Sorry about that!
FUDcon was awesome! I can't wait to come to more events! I'm wicked stoked! :-)
Adios and thanks the help!

Mario this falls to me. LEt's do a phonecall tomorrow and see what we can do.
Great meeting you in person at FUDCon,

Thx John!
I did add the events to the wiki earlier in the week. I will check on the links to add the requests for banners and other materials. Thx a million for the help!

I never heard any feedback about this conference. Should I assume we're not interested?
Please don't assume we aren't interested. We have to some degree supported this conference in the past. I am happy to support it but I won't be attending it and those who are need to do the planning. Just keep at it.
Also, I am requesting some help with getting banners and table covers and other booth/conferencing supplies for the linux fest in March.
Does anyone know how I can request these items? I will pay if necessary, and for shipping both ways.
You should put your events on the wiki page for Fedora events.
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Events
You will notice columns there to request banners and event boxes. After doing this you should join us at the following FAmNA meeting to discuss your plans and get help with any questions you have.

It is my recollection that we sent some materials to Stormy to make available at the booth that year but I don't recall anyone from the project attending (my recollection could be wrong though).
We did directly attend in 2011.

Sounds like we will have some good people to attend this year too. Be sure to keep FAmNA in the loop so we can help provide the resources you need to make the event a success.

Thanks for the feedback and support! Awesome!
